BMW M3 Saloon Overview

The BMW M3 Saloon is classed as a high performance compact executive car which is produced by the German automobile manufacturing company BMW. The Saloon version of the M3 was introduced in 1994, during the second generation of the M3 range. The Coupe and Cabriolet versions were released in 1992. The M3 is based on the BMW 3-Series but it is a high performance car with better handling. It has more powerful engine with upgraded interior and exterior amongst other things. The current version of the M3 Saloon is a great looking car which has good styling and it is great to drive. Its engine is very powerful and the interior is classy, with lots of space and comfort inside the cabin. It is expensive to run and can be costly to buy. BMW M3 Saloon History

The E36 model (1994-1997) saw the introduction of the saloon version of the M3 for the first time. It had a 3.0L engine which would be upgraded to the 3.2L when the M3 range was upgraded in 1995. The production of the saloon version ended in December 1997. The E90 model (2007-present) saw the reintroduction of the Saloon version which had not been produced since the end of 1997. This new version was coupled to a 4.0L engine and the new sleek design which keeps it in-line with M3 design but also has features taken from the 3-series saloon. This is the current version on the market.

The BMW M3 Saloon has been available with 3.0, 3.2 and 4.0L petrol engines. The current 4.0L engine offers around 25 mpg, which is what you would come to expect on a high performance car.
