Audi have introduced an S3 Cabriolet to their S3 range. The S3 is the sports version of the A3 small family car. We have a full review for the S3 which you can view by clicking here.
Currently in the S3 range there are hatchback, sportback and sedan variants, and the Cabriolet version will be making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show which takes place from 6-16th March 2014.
The soft top for the Cabriolet will be available in three different colours and the top is operated by an electro-hydraulic drive which can open or close in as fast as 18 seconds.
The car itself is available in 12 different colours including a crystal effect panther black and a pearl effect panther blue. It is fitted with air conditioning as standard and has other features such as steering wheel paddle shifters and a multimedia infotainment system which is fitted with a 7” monitor.
It has a really stylish looking interior design which gives a real quality feel to the vehicle. The S3 logo can be found throughout different parts of the vehicles interior including the back rest, sports steering wheel and a 3D logo on the tach.
The new S3 Cabriolet will have the same 2.0L 300bhp engine which is used on the other S3's. This car is capable of a top speed of 250kmph and can do 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds. The top speed is restricted to 250kmph electronically but still offers a very high speed, high performance vehicle. It has the 6-speed S-tronic dual clutch gearbox fitted as standard.
