The new 2015 Volkswagen Touareg is now available in the UK. The new facelifted version of the Touareg has been available in the UK since 27 August this year.
The Touareg was first available back in 2002 and the new 2015 version is a facelifted version of the third generation Touareg. There are three different trim levels available for the 2015 model with prices ranging from £43,500 to £47,500.
The SE trim offers buyers such things as DAB radio, Climate Control, Leather Interior and Bi-Xenons with prices ranging from £43,500 to £44,500. The Escape trim costs £44,700 and offers higher off road suspension, roof rails and a 100L fuel tank. The top of the range R-Line trim is available from £46,000 to £47,500 which includes lower suspension, panoramic glass roof and subtile body kit.
The main differences from the original third generation version are not too drastic but include the following: redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new front grille, new alloy wheels and 5 new paint options.
The available engine options have been changed, dropping both the V8 Diesel and V6 Petrol hybrid engines. There are now several variants of the new 3.0L TDi engine and you can read our article on this new engine line up here. All engine options are coupled to the 8-speed automatic gearbox.
