About Quarter Light Glasss

Some cars have quarter light glass which is a small, separate side window in either the front door, directly in front of the main car window, or situated on the sides of the car just in front of the rear windows of the car, in the 'C-pillar'.

Peugeot quarter light glass is situated on the door. Quarter light glass is often triangular in shape but can be come in various shapes depending on the make, model and year of car. This window can be hinged, enabling it to open inwards, and is sometimes referred to as a vent window, allowing a small amount of air in, to ventilate the car. Quarter light glass on some cars may, instead, be fixed in place, forming a side window that doesn't open.

Glass used in modern car doors is generally safety glass which decreases the chance of injury if it smashes.

All of the windows in the car serve a safety function, offering protection to the people travelling in the car. All windows should be clean and free from cracks and scratches so that safety is not compromised. All window parts and mechanisms should be functioning fully in order to be able to perform properly and safely. If the Peugeot quarter light glass has been smashed or cracked, as a result of an accident, for example, it's vital to replace this part as soon as possible. When replacing the windows in your car it's important that they fit perfectly. Buying the Peugeot quarter light glass, will ensure the window is compatible with the make and model of your car.

Peugeot trivia

  • Peugeots have been seen on the big and small screen. Most notable, the Peugeot 403 convertible was the car of everyone's famous scruffy detective Colombo. There was also an episode of Absolutely Fabulous where Edina and Patsy drive through France in a 205.
  • Peugeot might not be a name in Formula 1 (they did try a few times, but it never quite worked out), but they have been dominant in other races. In particular, four victories in an incredible 24 hours at Le Mans, and six impressive wins in the Dakar rally, to name just a few.
  • All models of Peugeot have a number designation with a 0 in the middle. There's a persistent myth that this is because the designers wanted to integrate the starting handle, and chose the central 0 as the ideal way to hide the slot. There's no substance to that myth, but those numbers are an indication of the size and age of the car.
  • You know the name Ettore Bugatti and the brand that bears his name, but did you know that Bugatti also designed the four-cylinder engine in 1912 for the Peugeot Bébé? You can't miss that unmistakable Bugatti look once you know that fact, and the car quickly became France's best selling car.
  • Peugeots, especially the 504, are incredibly popular in Africa and have been affectionately called Africa's workhorse. The 504 is a model that seems particularly well-suited to the rough terrains of Kenya and Ghana.
