About Climate Control Modules

An important component that is involved in the regulation of the temperature of a motor vehicle is the Peugeotclimate control module. The Peugeotclimate control module, sometimes described as the air conditioning system, controls the operation of the vehicle’s HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). The aim of the Peugeotclimate control module is to provide a comfortable environment within the car for the driver and passengers by creating a comfortable temperature and providing good indoor air quality.

Like all car parts, the Peugeotclimate control module may begin to show signs of wear and tear over the years. Possible indications that it is no longer working efficiently are a failure to heat and/or cool the vehicle effectively, a failure to distribute air around the car as required and a total failure to switch on. In the latter case it may be wise to check whether the cause is a blown fuse. If the fuse has blown it should be replaced. If it blows again, the cause of the problem is likely to be a short circuit in the wiring of the Peugeotclimate control module.

If the problems with the Peugeotclimate control module are such that it is no longer possible to drive the vehicle without substantial discomfort it will be necessary to repair it or find a replacement part.

Peugeot trivia

  • The first diesel engine prototype from Peugeot was built in the 1930s, but they didn't start releasing models commercially until 1959 (the 403).
  • You know the name Ettore Bugatti and the brand that bears his name, but did you know that Bugatti also designed the four-cylinder engine in 1912 for the Peugeot Bébé? You can't miss that unmistakable Bugatti look once you know that fact, and the car quickly became France's best selling car.
  • Peugeot might not be a name in Formula 1 (they did try a few times, but it never quite worked out), but they have been dominant in other races. In particular, four victories in an incredible 24 hours at Le Mans, and six impressive wins in the Dakar rally, to name just a few.
  • All models of Peugeot have a number designation with a 0 in the middle. There's a persistent myth that this is because the designers wanted to integrate the starting handle, and chose the central 0 as the ideal way to hide the slot. There's no substance to that myth, but those numbers are an indication of the size and age of the car.
  • Peugeots, especially the 504, are incredibly popular in Africa and have been affectionately called Africa's workhorse. The 504 is a model that seems particularly well-suited to the rough terrains of Kenya and Ghana.
