Citroen C4 Overview
The Citroen C4 is classed as a small family car and is produced by the French automobile manufacturers Citroen, who are part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group. The Citroen C4 was introduced in 2004 as a direct replacement for the Citroen Xsara. These cars are designed with comfort in mind. These also score highly on safety features and have a great choice of engines available. The problems with the Citroën C4 are the minimal amount of room and the poor drive. Citroen C4 History
The first generation (2004-10) was brought out in 2004 and its design was based on the Peugeot 307. The C4 was brought out as a 3-door coupe or a 5-door hatchback. The C4 is known for its great design features and has many different innovative technologies such as directional headlights and a lane departure warning system. In 2008 this car had a makeover, mainly affecting the look of the front end and improving the comfort of the ride.
The second generation (2010-present) is the current version on the market. The design of the car has been changed, making it less round and giving it a real distinctive Citroen look. This version is a great looking car which also introduced the e-HDi diesel-electric hybrid engine.

engines available for the Citroen C4. The petrol engines are: 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0L, with the diesel range offering 1.6 and 2.0L. There is also a 1.6L e-HDi electric-diesel hybrid which is the most economical of the range, offering up to an amazing 74mpg.
