Citroen have now released their latest version of the popular C4 Grand Picasso. This vehicle will be on show for the world to see at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March 2014. If you want to read more about what Citroen have on show at the Geneva Motor Show click here. The C4 Grand Picasso is a 7 seater large MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) which is following in the footsteps of Citroen's design language, comfort and technology and all at affordable prices. The new design is very sleek and stylish with lots of curves, it is more spacious than previous versions and has improved efficiency, with a range of new engines available. The engines available for the new C4 Grand Picasso are: 1.6L petrol and 1.6 or 2.0L diesel engines. The 2.0L diesel is new to the range and this engine gives 148bhp with low CO2 emissions of just 110g/km. This 2.0 Blue HDi engine coupled with the 6-speed manual gearbox will cost you £24,455 and there is the option of having the new 6-speed automatic gearbox with this same engine at a cost of £25,455. Having the 6-speed automatic gearbox increases the CO2 emissions to 117g/km and offers fuel economy of 63mpg. The manual version offers a better 67mpg. The 1.6L diesel is the best option available. The 113bhp version would be my pick as it cheaper to run than the 2.0L diesel and is quieter and runs smoother. The automatic version offers 74.3mpg and is the cheapest of the diesels at £20,595. The 1.6L petrol is the entry level model of the C4 Grand Picasso at a price of £19,200. Inside this vehicle there is great visibility and some good technological features such as Citroen's Infotainment system. The front and middles row of seats have plenty of space but the third row is definitely more suited to having kids in it. This vehicle is really good to drive, well refined and has good steering. This will compete with the likes of the Seat Alhambra and Vauxhall Zafira Tourer. It is well worth considering if you are after a large MPV.
