The 2014 Citroen C3 was officially unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show towards the end of last year. The C3 was first released in 2002, with the second generation released in 2009. The new 2014 version is a facelifted version of the second generation C3 and is a nice looking little car. You can read our C3 review by clicking here. So the first question we ask is, can the facelifted C3 genuinely compete with the likes of the VW Polo and Peugeot 208 in the supermini class? Our answer is, that we think it can. The second generation was a great improvement over the previous version but the new facelifted 2014 version is even sleeker looking with a new front end design. The new front end design includes the now familiar Citroen double chevron front grille, LED daytime running headlights and a body coloured splitter in the lower front air intake. There is also a change to the rear end, with an alteration to the tail-light design. In terms of engines, there is a new range of Pure Tech petrol engines available and also a new range of airdream micro hybrid diesel engines. Just like the original second generation version, the new facelifted 2014 model has a quality interior design and is great to drive and has a really good ride quality.
