About Heat Blower Motors

Part of the car's heating and air conditioning system, the Nissan heat blower motor functions to provide heat to the inside of the car. It is responsible for moving air through the car's cabin heating and, if fitted, cooling system.

The Nissan heater blower motor is generally located behind the car's dashboard and is connected to a network of ducts which allow the fan to move air to various areas of the interior. The driver can control the settings and set the desired temperature via a switch or a lever on the dashboard.

The air conditioning, heating and climate control systems in the car ensure your journey is comfortable, making sure the air quality and temperature in the car is maintained at a comfortable setting regardless of temperature conditions outside. Much like a desk fan the heater blower motor rotates a fan which causes air to be forced through the ducting and out the vents in the car's dashboard or floor. The motor has a resistor which allows the speed to be adjusted via the controls on the dashboard.

The Nissan heater blower motor can fail due to a bad connections, damaged wiring or switch, a blown fuse, a worn resistor, worn motor or because the fan is stuck or jammed against another internal component. Replacing a faulty heat blower fan with the Nissan heat blower fan will provide you with a compatible part that installs correctly, performs well and ultimately lasts longer.

Nissan trivia

  • Car accessories can range from the amazing to the redundant, but nothing manages to balance somewhere between the two more than the doorframe umbrella compartment that came with the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R.
  • Known as the ‘supercar killer’, the iconic Nissan GT-R is currently ranked third in the world for getting around the Nürburgring track in Germany. One circuit took the supercar just over seven minutes.
  • The Nissan Patrol began production in 1951, making it the oldest production SUV on the planet. Admittedly, the design has changed a bit since ‘51.
  • Nissan used to be called Datson, which was then changed to Datsun because son in Japanese means disadvantage. Eventually, there was a complete rebrand, and the name Nissan was born.
  • Nissan built the very first limo and made it specifically for the Emperor of Japan. The car was powered by a growling V8 engine and was just over six metres long.
