About CD Players

The Nissan CD player is a CD player enabling CD's to be played in the car, whilst driving or stationary.

The Nissan CD player is found on the car stereo head unit, usually situated centrally and within easy reach, on the dashboard. The car stereo head unit can house a range of features, such as the Nissan CD player, radio, tape cassette player, dvd player, USB input, and auxiliary input for virtually any device with audible capabilities.

As well as the basic features, such as the open and close mechanism; play, stop, skip forward and skip back controls; volume control; a display providing information on the song title and artist; and song selection, features can include options such as a remote control; skip prevention; bass and sound amplification/boost; CD changers; and bass and treble equalisers. Some CD players will play rewritable CD's as well as the usual non-rewritable CD's. The Nissan CD player will have a removable faceplate, for security purposes, enabling you to detach this from the head unit and keep it out of view when the car is parked and not in use.

If the CD player in your car has seen better days, is faulty due to electrical component failure or malfunctioning in some way, it is important, when replacing the Nissan CD player, to choose one that is a good quality product and compatible with the make and model of your car. The replacement CD player should fit your car precisely, able to fit securely and properly in the car stereo head unit and match the contours of the dashboard, complementing the overall style and colour scheme of the car.

Nissan trivia

  • Nissan used to be called Datson, which was then changed to Datsun because son in Japanese means disadvantage. Eventually, there was a complete rebrand, and the name Nissan was born.
  • Nissan built the very first limo and made it specifically for the Emperor of Japan. The car was powered by a growling V8 engine and was just over six metres long.
  • Nissan’s sporting history kicked off in the right way when they blasted their way to victory in the All Japan Automobile Competition, Japan’s first-ever racing event. The NL-75 destroyed the competition, thanks to its supercharged DOHC engine.
  • Car accessories can range from the amazing to the redundant, but nothing manages to balance somewhere between the two more than the doorframe umbrella compartment that came with the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R.
  • Known as the ‘supercar killer’, the iconic Nissan GT-R is currently ranked third in the world for getting around the Nürburgring track in Germany. One circuit took the supercar just over seven minutes.
