About Engine Reconditioneds

The <Model>reconditioned engine is a replacement for your existing engine. It has been stipped down, the parts checked and renewed where necessary.

The existing engine, requires disconnection from mountings, cables and pipes. Depending on which Brand and model the old engine will require disconnection from the gearbox before or after removal from the engine compartment. On some vehicles the gearbox will remain in position on others it will be removed and refitted when the whole unit is removed with the gearbox still attached. The reconditioned engine may be purchased complete or Bare. Complete needs no parts from your existing engine. Bare, meaning that it will need parts from your existing engine. This needs to be clarified.

All parts being used from the old engine for the Bare reconditioned engine should be checked and replaced as necessary. Engine mountings may also need to be replaced.

The reconditioned engine will come with a warranty, this needs to be clarified as to the warranty length and coverage detail.

Chevrolet trivia

  • The weirdest Chevrolet experiment was the Chevrolet Turbo Titan II in 1965. This was the same year as the first US spacewalk, and the car has a real space theme happening. Most bizarrely, it didn't have a steering wheel and instead had two large dials so that it looked more like a games console controller or DJ desk than a car.
  • It turned out that the Chevrolet chassis was ideally suited to WWII because it proved incredibly easy to install extra armour and both a machine gun and flamethrower to the roof.
  • The company might have his name, but Louis Chevrolet wasn't there for long. He'd previously worked as a mechanic for other car manufacturers, and would eventually go onto become a well-established race car driver for Buick.
  • When it comes to innovation, it's hard to get angry at Chevrolet for being the first company to install 4G wifi in its cars.
  • The first Chevrolet was the iconic series C Classic Six. It sold for the very low price of just $2,150. That's about £1700 in proper money.
