Suzuki Baleno Overview

The Suzuki Baleno is classed as a compact car and was produced by the Japanese car manufacturing company Suzuki from 1995 – 2002. This car was marketed under many different names in different countries, including: Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Esteem and Chevrolet Cassia. This car was available in hatchback, estate and saloon versions. The Suzuki Baleno are reliable small family cars at affordable prices but the parts can be pricey to replace for a car of this class. They are generally quite cheap to buy.

Suzuki Baleno History

This car was first introduced in 1995 and was Suzuki’s first venture into the compact car class. This car was originally available in a 3-door hatchback with 1.3L engine and a 1.6L saloon version. The following year, 1996, the estate version was introduced with the 1.6L engine, and was Suzuki’s first estate car. In 1998 this car had a makeover which mainly affected the front end of the vehicle including the grille and headlights. A new engine range was added, the 1.8L and a diesel version in Europe. This car was discontinued in 2002 and replaced with the Suzuki Liana.
