The BMW Vision Future Luxury (VFL) concept was unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show last week. It has been rumoured that this vehicle will become BMW's flagship model and compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It has been reported that this vehicle would become the new BMW 9-Series if or when it makes it to production. Even if this vehicle does not make it into production, you can expect to see many of the features in the next generation of the BMW 7-Series which is expected next year. The VFL concept has a new front grille design and has laserlight headlights, which illuminate 10 times more than LED lights. It is built with carbon fibre and inside, it is... well..... very luxurious, with plenty leather and a pure silk carpet. If it makes it to production there will obviously be quite a few alterations but we look forward with anticipation to see what happens next. Adrian van Hooydonk is the Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design, and this is what he had to say about the new concept vehicle: "Innovative technology and modern luxury have always been an important part of BMW's brand DNA. We use visionary concept vehicles like the BMW Vision Future Luxury to show where we may be going with these themes in the future, and to give us new inspiration and motivation. The BMW Vision Future Luxury – with its innovative technologies and with meticulous precision and quality in every detail – takes our thinking on modern luxury a logical stage further."
