The new 2015 Toyota Aygo is to be revealed at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this week. The Aygo has been in production since 2005 and the new version is a very cute but stylish looking little city car. The Aygo is part of a joint venture between Toyota and PSA Peugeot Citroen. The French versions are the Peugeot 108 and the Citroen C1. Although these cars share many similarities, they each have their own styling and individual touches. The parts that the Aygo shares with the Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1 are the engines, windscreen and front doors but the rest of the styling aims to make the Aygo unique. This new version has a striking front end design which has a large X over the front bumper and bonnet with new headlight and front grille design. The rear tailgate design is similar to the 108 and C1 in that it is glass with a black bottom and the tail light strips run down each side of the tailgate. The new Aygo is available in both 3 or 5 door variants and will be fitted with a 1.0L petrol engine. This is a revised version of the current 1.0L engine and offers 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km. There is an Eco option available which will increase economy to 72mpg and cut emissions down to 89g/km. This engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There are two models: the basic x and the x play. The top x play trim allows the owner a fully customisable option which is set to be a real draw for proposed buyers. It is expected to go on sale from 1 July 2014. Have a look at the video below which shows the new 2015 Toyota Aygo:
