About Grab Handles
The Vauxhall grab handle is a useful device which has the primary function of assisting with the ease of entering and exiting the vehicle. This function is particularly beneficial for elderly people or people with mobility difficulties. The grab handle allows some leverage enabling the user to lift themselves out of the seat with ease.
Usually made from a mixture of plastics and strong, woven cloth, grab handles are usually mounted in the roof, located just above the car door and can be found on all of the car doors.
Although primarily functioning to assist when entering or leaving a vehicle, grab handles located in the rear of a car are also used by car owners to hang up items of clothing, such as a smart suit, that would otherwise get creased. The grab handle is also used by passengers to help them to get comfortable when travelling, when shifting position in the seat, for example. Passengers can also grab hold of the Vauxhall grab handle to keep them steady if the car has to stop suddenly, for example.
If the functionality of the grab handle has been compromised in any way, for example, has been broken; snapped; not fixed to the mounting securely; or is coming loose, it will need to be replaced. Purchasing a new Vauxhall grab handle for your vehicle will ensure the ideal fit for the make and model of your car.
Vauxhall trivia
- The Vectra C is a very popular car, especially among the police force, and it's now common to see car buyers desperate to pick up an ex-police Vectra for cheap. It is estimated that Vauxhall manufactures as much as 70% of the UK police forces cars.
- Not only did Vauxhall produce the first sports car in the world, but it was also the first company to produce a car that could go 100mph!
- Alexander Wilson founded Vauxhall back in 1857 as a pump and marine engine manufacturer. It then moved onto building cranes before starting to finally make cars in 1903.
- It's the Corsa that is, by far, the most popular make produced by Vauxhall. Even as late as 2019, there were twice as many Corsa sales as there were of any other type of car.
- WWII got in the way of making cars, as Vauxhall started building the famous Churchill tank instead. It was designed and started rolling out of the factory in less than a year, and they made over 5,600 of them!
