About Heater Direction Control Switchs
A vehicle’s SEAT heater direction control switch is positioned on the heater control panel and situated in the dashboard of a vehicle. Its function is to adjust the direction of the heating in the vehicle.
The heater inside the vehicle uses the heat from the engine, which is converted in to hot air and blown in to the vehicle’s passenger compartment.
When heat is built up in the engine, it’s transferred to the coolant, which is passed to the exhaust and radiator to protect the engine from overheating. The heater is attached to the radiator. When the passenger in the vehicle turns the dials on the controls the heat from the heater’s core is transferred to the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The driver can then use the SEAT heater direction control switch to choose where the heat is distributed in the vehicle.
It is important to make sure your vehicle’s heating system is working correctly, as a damaged heating system could indicate that the vehicle’s engine cooling system is also not working. If you notice the vehicle’s heating system is not working, then it’s important to get it checked as soon as possible to prevent engine damage.
SEAT trivia
- 2019 was the best year of sales for SEAT when it sold an impressive 574,100 cars.
- There are four generations of the SEAT Ibiza, and it’s SEAT’s most successful model. It’s sold 5.4 million, has won the Car of the Year Award and is a three-time winner of the Supermini of the Year.
- SEAT had a 30-year close relationship with Fiat. However, it ended on a sour note when the companies went their separate ways, and Fiat tried to sue SEAT for similarities between the SEAT Ronda and the Fiat Ritmo. SEAT won the case after using a yellow highlighter to show the court all of the differences between the two cars.
- The SEAT Ateca won the 2017 Fleet Management Awards for Best Midsize SUV, beating competitors like the BMW X1, the Range Rover Evoque, and the Kia Sportage.
- The SEAT Ibiza was designed by the same man who designed the Mark 1 VW Golf, the Lotus Esprit, and the DeLorean DMC-12. Giorgetto Giugiaro is well worth a Google.
