About Brake Light Rear Centre

The Civic Honda Brake Light Rear Centre is an additional brake light to the two left and right rear brake lights which are incorporated in the rear light units. The centre unit is usually higher than the rear lights and may be lit by either light bulbs or led light strip.

On some vehicles it is situated above the rear window, on others below the window. On Cars with a boot it is sometimes fitted to the boot lid.

Problems occurring with the Civic Honda Brake Light Rear Centre, requiring replacement, may be due to water entering the unit through cracks in the plastic or a damaged seal, causing corrosion to the electrical contacts.

Honda Civic trivia

  • The Type R Civic was voted the fastest front-wheel-drive car in the world back in 1997 when it was launched.
  • The Civic Hybrid was the first car in its class to plug in. Its debut in 2003 saw many manufacturers rush to compete, but the Civic remains one of the more fuel-efficient cars of this type on the market.
  • The Honda Civic is more than just the most popular Honda ever made; it’s been in continuous production too. Launched in the early 70s, there has never been a time when a Honda Civic was not in production.
  • The Type R Civic is famous for being much less fuel-efficient than its less sporty counterparts, but most owners accept that. Instead, they want the high performance, including the 305 horsepower and being easily capable of cruising along at 169mph.
  • The Honda Civic is the sixth best-selling car of all time! However, those selling figures are helped by the fact that there has been a Civic in production since 1972.
