About Trim
Trim is a general term for the cosmetic finish to the assembly method in the manufacture of vehicles. The trim tends to differ according to whether the vehicle is standard, mid-range or a luxury model.

- The Ford Mondeo did not do well in the US, despite some mad promotions (including a drive from London to New York via the Bering Strait). Perhaps it was the fact that the Mondeo was renamed the Contour in the States? In Europe, however, drivers were queuing up outside showrooms to get their hands on one.
- The Mondeo ST24 comes with a 2.5-litre Duratec V6 engine. It can get from 0-62mph in only 8 seconds, which might seem a bit excessive for a family car but proved ideal for those families that wanted some serious performance specs.
